On March 24, 2002, a cross country skier on the South side of
Mount Hood became injured and she and her companion were forced to
spend the night in the wilderness. PMR and other search parties
were called out after the pair failed to return their rented gear
the night before. PMR teams on skis were able to locate and escort
the cold and tired subjects to safety.
