A reference map of the July 11, 2004, rescue mission on the South Side
of Mount Adams in Southwest Washington. The subject was located
near the Lunch Counter, as flat bivouac site near 9,300 feet. Rescuers
entered the trailhead at Cold Springs (5,600 feet) and traveled 4.4 miles
to the Lunch Counter, later packaging and delivering the patient to waiting
medical personnel at the trailhead.
