This graphic shows the approximate path of the snowboarder's fall
from the North Face of Mount Hood. The victim evidently lost
control while snowboarding the upper portion of Cooper Spur, near
11,100 feet, and fell down the steep and rocky pitch to the Eliot
Glacier. The nearly 1/2 mile tumble cost the 30-year-old man
his life.
